There's No Swinging Like Snow Swinging

Quin was ecstatic that he got to play in the aftermath of Friday's big snow. Even though the snow as up to his waist he did not want to go in.

IBecause he got to play in the snow, all was right with the world.

Brother & Sister Time

Playtime with blocks.

Quin decided he needed to read Stella a Bible story; it was very cute.

Time to play with toys!
Yes, she's in there somewhere.

Where's Quino?

Winter Wonderland

My tape-measure said 3 1/4 inches Saturday morning. Thick, wet and heavy but the neighborhood looked beautiful.
That is until I heard cracking sounds from the neighbor's house, saw limbs snap off his tree . . .
then saw that the branches on our front yard tree were touching the ground. It was still cool looking outside.

Fall Fun

Fall 2010 has been lots of fun so far; the weather hasn't hurt at all! We started out with a trip through a corn maze in the middle of nowhere (it was a maze just finding the place). Here we are taking a break on the bridge overlooking the maze.
This picture didn't turn out how it was supposed to but I love it anyway.
Here is Quin doing his impression of Stella.
He has his own unique style when it comes to gutting a pumpkin - maybe he's been hanging out with Cousin Ben.
Mommy coaches on the finer points of pumpkin gutting.
This picture with Great-Grandma Lois rocks!
Trick-r-treating to see Grandma & Grandpa K.
Super-Grover is ready for his Halloween adventure!

Michelle's Bat-symbol pumpkin (thanks, hun!)
Michelle's ghost-face pumpkin (for Stella).
Kaare's scary-face pumpkin
Quin's traditional pumpkin (Quin designed, Mommy carved).
Even Daddy can fit in the tunnel.
Danielle came over for a visit last weekend - she really just came to see Stella.

Stella escapes her bonds.
Great-Grandma Gladys working her magic.

At the COJ Harvest Party, Quin got his first taste of Pop Rocks. I think his Mom & I found it more amusing than he did.

Fishing Video

I've been meaning to put this up for a while. Uncle Kyle helped Quin haul in his first fish in September. Quin had a blast and still talks about it.

Mass Update!!!

I haven't updated this for a couple weeks so I decided just to throw a bunch together for the viewing public. First up, we took a Fall trip to the cabin the end of September. Mora has a fantastic park that Quin loves. He & I decided to race down the slide - I don't make it down slides as fast as I used to.
Further evidence that it's time for T&J to have another baby because our goddaughter is ready to be a big sister.
Spider-Quin, Spider-Quin does whatever a Spider-Quin does! T&J gave us this costume a while back; it's still to big but he loves wearing it.
I love this picture!!!
Usually when I stick Stella in Quin's bed he says, "hey, what's my sister doing in my bed?!" This time he climbed and presented their mother with a photo-op.

Stella got the purple mouth treatment for her thrush just like big brother did. It was kind of fitting seeing as the Viking game was on when we did this.
With hands up . . .
with hands down.

Quin's First Fishing Trip

Uncle Kyle & Aunt Ellen took their godson on his first fishing adventure. Quin was very excited but leading up to the fun his biggest concerns were "is Stanley coming and does he have his own fishing pole?"
To our surprise, Quin was very patient waiting for the first fish.

First fish on!
"Wow, that's a big one!"
Quin had to hold the fish, he wasn't content to just hold the line with the fish on the hook.
A nice looking sunfish.
This was the first of four fish; there were smiles all around.
As a reward, Dad & Uncle Kyle took Quin through the Chutes & Ladders play area. The slides & tunnels are not as big around as I remember them to be; hah-ha!!!
Uncle Kyle took Quin on a run through the network of tunnels in the play area. At this point they are up really high.
And higher
Needless to say, Quin slept really good last night. How about you, Kyle?
