2nd B-day!!!

w
Quin invited some friends over to celebrate his 2nd birthday this weekend. We had lots of fun playing outside and eating the Handy Manny Toolbox cake that Mommy made.
Quin & the boys got to chill in the sandbox.
Quin & Casey look like they're having a very serious discussion.
Here, Tobias looks like he's guarding the clubhouse.
Relaxing with Uncle Jason & Evelyn.
Here Steph is in charge of the swing-set and doing a find job demonstrating why she and Chad could handle about 3 or 4 more kids - hahah!!!
Gift opening time! A Batman & Flash blanket from Grandma & Grandpa K!
Here Grandma Kathy vogues with Quin's new Batman hat.
More Batman! Grandma & Grandpa I gave Quin the hat, this Batman figure and a neat, homemade Batman sleeping bag!
It's a good thing Grandma & Grandpa K and Great-grandma Gladys gave him this chair because he needed to relax.
Here I had to retrieve Quin as he tried to run away from gift opening.
Mommy certainly is excited for these new books - maybe more than Quin.
Quin had to show Rylee and Anna the gift that Rylee gave him.
"I'd much rather be playing over there!"
Superstar!
This gift must be interesting because all the kids had to look.
Ahhh, musical Elmo books explains the crowd.
Quin & Rylee have a dance party with the Elmo books.
And more dancing.
And more dancing.
"Hey, I wanna keep dancing!"
This is the look of a man who is done with gifts.
Time for cake!
Nummy!!!

Thanks to all Quin's family & friends (and their mom's & dad's) for coming. We were glad you could celebrate with us!

Grandma's Bus!!!

On the last day of school, Grandma Becky stopped by to show Quin her bus. Quin is obsessed with buses, so it was a real treat. Thanks, Grandma!

Newer & Newest Cousins!

Newest cousin/niece, Emily, was born on Memorial Day.
Meeting the newest cousin.
Happy family! Yay Totu-tribe!
Evelyn isn't so new anymore, but still lots of fun . . . well, they don't look like they're having fun here.
Sweet.

Cooling Off

After a long hot day (hotter for those of us in the attic!), we decided to cool off at Grandpa & Grandma I's pool.

Big-boy Bed

In preparation for the new baby, Quin is giving up his room and his crib for a new room and a big-boy bed. We put the mattress in the room for the day to see how he'd handle it. Now he won't let us put it back.
Elmo is helping make the move easier.
Not sure what to think. Something's not right.
In his old room is our spare bed. Quin wanted this bed instead.
Next step is putting the bed frame together. He's a little more curious now.
I had a big helper hold the bed frame while I bolted it together.

He gets the idea even if it's the wrong spot.
The bed was complete and this was his response to it: "My nigh-nigh?"
This is just to show my Dad that I'm not at the point in life where I get stuck under my son's bed :)
When we asked Quin if he wanted to sleep in his crib the first night he said, "no, my nigh-nigh" and ran to his new bed. He slept all night without getting up. Michelle took this picture when she went into get him up the first morning. He didn't want to get up.
This was just last night curled up with Cookie and The Count. 5 nights and counting!
