3 Stages of Baby Push-ups

Stage 1: Why did they put me on my belly again - how do I get off it? I know, I'll push.

Stage 2: This is harder than it looks - especially with Mommy taking pictures!

Stage 3: Ah-ha! Success! Now what?

Catching Up

To all of you that have been after me to put up new pictures - calm down, they're here!!! Most of you have babies or have had babies so you should understand how busy a parent is - haha! With that out of the way, Quin is getting BIG! Haven't done an accurate weight test but he's gotta be pushing 10lbs now and is about 2ft tall. A little over a week ago he started sleeping through the night and I mean through! He's asleep usually by 9:30pm and doesn't get up until between 4am and 6am - most mornings we have to wake him up so that I'm not late to drop him off at Grandma & Grandpa Kvenild's house. So, here's updated pics - enjoy!

We have to swaddle Quin at night otherwise he wakes himself up at night. We got this new swaddle blanket which is pretty slick (it's velcro!!!) that we hoped he'd have a harder time getting out of. It wasn't meant to be as seen here.

Visitors from another land!

Sort of - haha! My sister, Kris, and her family are here on a 6-month home assignment from Taiwan where they are missionaries. They got to meet Quin for the first time which was fun for the kids because Quin is their first male-cousin. Anyway, they ventured out to our home a couple weeks ago for dinner and a bonfire. It was a blast - here's some highlights of our bonfire with the Larsen Clan.

This last one requires explanation. To the enjoyment of Isaak, I decided to shoot off some fireworks. Right as I was about to light off one of the big rockets, Noelle told Kris that she had go to the bathroom. We have an attached garage on our house so Noelle ran into the garage to go into the house. As she was waiting for Kris to come help her, the rocket exploded in air as it's supposed to. This caused my Noelle to jump and in turn pee her pants. This was not an expected situation so Kris did not have a change of clothes for her. Hence why she is standing there in her underwear with her father laughing hysterically.

Visiting with Great-Grandma

Michelle went back to work the day after Labor Day, so it was just the boys home for a day. So we went for a visit to Great-Grandma Gladys' house. So here's Quin with Great-Grandma Gladys during his visit - he wanted Jolly Ranchers and a can of pop but was told he is too little.

While at Grandma's house, the rest of the great-grand kids came by. And we got a picture of Grandma and her five "Angels" (that's what Grandma calls them). So here they are (from left to right): Kathryn, Isaak, Quintin, Grandma Gladys, Noelle & Joseph (aka: Kat, Ike, Quin, Grandma, Elle & Joe).

2 Months Old!!!

Our little guy is 2 months old which means it was off to the doctor. You can see Quin's battle wounds on his legs. Trust me, he was not this happy when he got the shots. He weighed in at a stunning 9.2lbs! He's still small for his age but tall at 23inches tall. So we have a string-bean.
