I have to relay this story - I wish I had pictures, but one never knows when something like this will happen. Tuesday evening, I was in the backyard looking around at how much of a jungle my grass had turned into. Michelle came out with Quin and we started talking about things we'd like to do to the yard (plant a tree here, take down the clothes-posts here, things like that), when all of the sudden a bird hopped out of the really long grass. Now, normally if you get too close to a bird, it takes off. This one did not as it looked very young. I stomped the ground near it to get it to fly away. As I did, a robin flies down screaming right at Michelle's head! I mean, this bird is majorly angry - I was probably stomping too close to one of it's chicks.
Anyway, this bird literally dive-bombed Michelle who ran away screaming from the screeching bird. It landed on the ground and continued to screech until we went away. I seriously felt like I was living a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's film, The Birds. A little creepy, but it was funny at the same time! Just a funny story I wanted to share. To quote a character in the movie: "It's the end of the world!"

The Herniated Belly-button
Quin's got a herniated belly-button. Not a lot of people know what we're talking about. So take a gander at these two pics and you'll see what we're talking about. Notice the large bulge in his stomach? That's it! It seems to get bigger when he cries - it's really odd. It doesn't bother him though. His doctor just told us to massage it down every so often and hopefully that will help it go away. If not, he'll need surgery after he's 1-year old so pray for it to go away.

Quin's Quirks
Our little-guy has some strange quirky habits that Michelle has caught on camera.
Example 1: This odd display of comfortable hand positions while sleeping. I believe this is Quin's strategy to avoid his arms falling asleep - haha!
Example 2: When eating Quin grabs his ear like so. No idea why he does it, but it's really funny.

HE DOES HAVE EYES!
It's hard to catch Quin with his eyes open these days. But I did manage to get a good eyes open shot. Maybe it's just Grandma's that he wakes up for. Grandma K can do it, we'll have to see if Grandma I can too. We also know that Grandpa's can make him poop as Grandpa I found out this weekend. Grandpa K, can you do that?
